Join in and make a lasting difference
BirdLife Australia is an organisation that has a clear commitment to action and results. We’re proud of our achievements, but we know there is always more to be done. But we can’t do it alone - we want you to get involved.
As Australia’s birds face an ever-growing number of threats, we look to our volunteers and supporters to add their numbers and their voices and help us to help our native birds.
There are many ways you can make a difference. You can take part in our Congress & Campout, or become involved with Citizen Science through our online bird databases. These projects are a way for you to contribute your observations of native birds to an ever-growing collection of bird observations that tracks, records and shares biodiversity knowledge.
There’s also our Conservation Forum, a one-day convention, which is a great opportunity to find out about BirdLife Australia, its projects and other conservation activities, as well as birds in general. Every year, a range of expert researchers, students and amateur birdwatchers present enlightening information on a variety of aspects relating to birds and their conservation or research. A different theme is chosen each year and the event is rotated across the states.
Plus, there are many smaller-scale local events and activities you can choose to get involved in.
