Ventnor foreshore – arrival of Short-tailed Shearwaters

Meet at the end of Devon Avenue, Ventnor. Bring a meal to eat (and maybe a chair or cushion) while watching the Shearwaters come in to their burrows at dusk.

General information

You no longer have to register to attend an outing.

Please check the website before leaving to attend the outing, if the outing is cancelled or changed, the information will be shown on the website.

Events are cancelled on days of TOTAL FIRE BAN, and may be cancelled due to poor weather or dangerous conditions.

For your own safety, wear appropriate clothing and footwear, preferably closed toed shoes and long sleeves. Remember that snakes and stinging insects share these locations.

We usually have spare binoculars that you can borrow, but please let us know beforehand if you need them so that we can ensure that there are some available.
