BirdLife WA - Walk - Bannister Creek

  • Date Saturday, 28 June 2025
  • Time 8:30 am
  • Locations Bannister Creek

Overview

Bannister Creek runs into Canning River and a Southeast Regional Centre for Land Care (SERCUL) Project has been working for some years on a significant rehabilitation project along this creek. The main activities have been weed removal, replanting with appropriate vegetation and sculpturing the creek so small weirs aerate the water. An annual bird survey is undertaken and the birds are starting to return.

Bring a chair and morning tea to have while we do a combined bird list.

For BLWA members and their guests. Members of the public are welcome to join the walk. (Bring binoculars).
