BirdLife WA - Walk - Paganoni Swamp

  • Date Saturday, 29 July 2023
  • Time 9:00 am
  • Locations Paganoni Swamp

Overview

Given the time of year the walking track may be damp or even wet in places but by and large it will be mostly a soft sandy trail. Mosquitoes may pose a problem as well.
We will be walking approximately 3 km through threatened woodlands where Western Yellow Robins and Grey Currawong among many others have been seen in this area of diverse habitats.

Bring a chair and morning tea to have while we do a combined birdlist.

Leader: Chris Van Haeften

If you feel at all unwell – PLEASE STAY HOME.

Getting there

Meet at 9:00 am on Paganoni Road at the Mandurah Road end, under the power lines. Access is via Mandurah Road onto Paganoni Road or the new Kwinana Freeway extension onto Paganoni Road.
The meeting location is approximately 1Km along Paganoni Rd from the Mandurah Rd turn-off on the right-hand side and this is where the power lines cross-over Paganoni Rd.
From the Kwinana Fwy the location is about 2Km. on the left-hand side.
The parking area is a little restricted so be mind-full about the space when you park. Off road parking available along Paganoni Rd, be careful when crossing the road should you need to park there.
