BirdLife WA - Walk - Penguin Island

Overview

We will look for a variety of seabirds, including Bridled and Crested Terns that will be nesting and perhaps waders on the beaches. Buff-banded Rail is often at the picnic area. There is no shop on the island so please bring morning tea. Those who wish to stay on are welcome to do so.
Please note the Penguin Discovery Centre is now permanently closed.

Getting there

Meet at the ferry car park off Acadia Drive, Shoalwater at 8 30am when the ticket office opens. We will take the 9am ferry. Fares are $25 or $23 concession.
