About our group
Our activities range from a program of regular informal birding excursions, through meetings with high quality guest speakers, to long-term scientific observations. Among our most important work are long-term summer and winter wader counts around the state, waterfowl counts at the key habitat, Moulting Lagoon, and the south-east winter gull count.
Birdlife Tasmania has recently published Bird Walks Brochures for the Hobart and Kingborough Areas. These maps show where to find birds in the local parks and which species you might find.
