BirdLife NNSW Iluka Campout 2023

BirdLife Northern NSW, Spring Campout:  1 – 3 September 2023, was held at Iluka, based at the Anchorage  Holiday Park.

Over the 2 days there were 4 full day outing and 2 half day outings.  A total of 26 systematic surveys were carried out, along with 6 incidental lists which were documented over the weekend. A grand total of 163 species were identified.  Highlights for some people were Emu, Brolga, Rose-crowned Fruit-Dove, Whiskered Tern, Southern Emu-wren, Tawny-crowned Honeyeater, Black-necked Stork and Noisy Pitta to name a few.
