Martine Maron was appointed President of BirdLife Australia in 2020 having been a long-time supporter and board-member of BirdLife Australia. As a Professor of Environmental Management at the University of Queensland, a member of the Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists, and a Director of the NESP Threatened Species Recovery Hub, Martine Maron is one of the leading lights in Australian conservation biology.
