We are fortunate that H5 bird flu has not yet arrived in Australia – but we need to be ready this spring and summer! Join Tanya Loos, BirdLife’s Avian Influenza Response Coordinator and Chris Purnell, Manager Wetland and Migratory Shorebirds as we cover the essentials in this one hour session.
Preparedness includes awareness of the virus and what to look for, and how to safely report suspected cases of H5 bird flu in your local birds via the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline (EAD Hotline). Webinar content will be relevant for BirdLife’s branches and network volunteers, but also concerned members of the public and environmental NGOs. We cannot stop the arrival of H5 bird flu but we can be aware and prepared by working together.
