Half-day excursion
Lake Gwelup is a haven for biodiversity, with 20 hectares of wetlands, 35 hectares of bushland, and 20 hectares of parkland. It is within the Northern Swan Coastal Key Biodiversity Area (KBA) for Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo. We should see water birds and bush birds, and raptors are often seen here.
Bring a chair and morning tea to have while the bird list is compiled.
For BWA members and their guests. Members of the public are welcome to join the walk (bring binoculars).
Leader: Chris Beebe
Meet at 7.30 am in the car park at the corner of Stoneman Street and Huntriss Road, north of Karrinyup Road.
