  • Date Wednesday, 8 January 2025
  • Time 7:30 am
  • Locations Waterford Foreshore, Salter Point

Overview

Bring morning tea because, if time permits, we will move to Salter Point where further species may be seen. Enroute to the meeting points, watch out for Straw-necked Ibis at the Trinity ovals on Elderfield Road and for Crested Pigeons on the large grass verges north of the Manning Tennis Club.

Bring a chair and morning tea to have while we do a combined bird list.

For BLWA members and their guests. Members of the public are welcome to join the walk (bring binoculars).

Leaders: Lorraine and Richard Chyne

Getting there

Meet at the Curtin University Boat Shed at 7:30 am. To reach the parking area travel along Manning Road and turn into Elderfield Road which is on the western side of the Trinity College playing fields. Proceed to the end of this street and the parking area is on the right hand side. This is quite a long walk; we will walk along the river front for about 2 km and return via a nearby park.
