BirdLife Bendigo-Echuca District is a cross-border branch which serves members who live in southern New South Wales (Municipality of Deniliquin, and Murray, Conargo and Barham Shires and surrounding areas) and northern Victoria (City of Greater Bendigo, and Campaspe, Gannawarra and Loddon Shires and surrounding areas).
The group formed in Echuca in the early 1990s, and was previously a branch of the Bird Observers Club of Australia.
As well as observing our local birds, we also make valuable contributions to conservation in our region.
As well as conducting, regular outings (see below), we also have an active email bird sightings tree that branch members may like to join. If you wish to get involved, please get in touch via our contact form.
The branch runs monthly, day-long excursions to many interesting birding locations across the region, led by some of our best local birdwatchers.
