Overview

Half-day excursion

Lake Goollelal is a 6 km walk and will take about 3 hours. There is a new 380 m boardwalk with two viewing platforms that extends out over Lake Goollelal, adjacent to the site of the former Luisini Winery.

This lake offers a good selection of bush birds and water birds. It is part of the Northern Swan Coastal Plain Key Biodiversity Area (KBA) for Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo. It is a key site within a chain of wetland and freshwater habitats that forms Yellagonga Regional Park.

Bring your scope if you have one.

Bring a chair and morning tea to have while we do a combined bird list.

For BWA members and their guests.

Members of the public are welcome to join the walk. (Bring binoculars)

Leaders: Lesley Macauley and Lou Scampoli
