Half-day excursion
We will start our walk by taking a left and heading up to the Boardwalk before doubling back and heading up to Glendalough reserve. Herdsman Lake is home to many waterbirds and bush birds as well as multiple resident birds of prey. This walk takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours, so bring a chair and morning tea to have while we do a combined bird list.
For BWA members and their guests.
Members of the public are welcome to join the walk. (Bring binoculars)
Leader: Steve Lofthouse
Meet at 8:30am at the carpark on Moondine drive (turn off from Herdsman Parade at the southern end of the lake, east of the Discovery Centre).
