About: This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of birdwatching and meet like-minded people in the local community. Date: Third Sunday each month (please continue to check WAGL website for specific dates) Time: in Winter: 8.00 – 10.00am / in Summer: 7.30 – 9.30am Presenters: BirdLife Western Australia Cost: FREE for WA Gould League Friends and BirdLife Australia members (use coupon code BIRDLIFE100 at checkout when buying tickets); $10 for general public. All funds raised go back to BirdLife WA and WAGL to support our environmental educational programs and to keep the centre running. What’s included: Presentation on Herdsman Lake birdlife, bird watching techniques and how to use binoculars effectively. Guided birdwalk around the picturesque Herdsman Lake where you are guaranteed to see a variety of birdlife. Free entry to the Discovery Centre during the event and morning tea and barista coffee included. Binoculars will be provided for participants who don’t own a pair. What to bring: Water bottle, hat, suitable clothing for weather conditions (recommended not to wear anything bright), binoculars or spotting scope if you have one. Other info: Maximum 30 participants
