Join BirdLife Redlands and Bayside for a walk through Sandy Creek Conservation Area. It is a good area for bush birds. We were here last time in May 2023 when we observed 38 species.
The walk will take about 2.5 hours.
We will follow mostly flat bush walking tracks with a possible short diversion through the bush towards a creek. The area is forest with tall eucalypts.
As there are no facilities at the location, we will drive to Mt Cotton Community Park for morning tea and bird call. Coffee and food are available to purchase at the cafe.
Please wear a hat and sturdy walking shoes. Bring a chair, water, sunscreen, insect repellent and your morning tea or purchase it at the cafe nearby .
