About our group
We are a Special Interest Group of BirdLife Australia and provide both a forum and resources for photographers, bird observers and the general public to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of birds through the medium of photography.
Our vision is to inspire and support photographers of Australian birds, and to:
- Be a group that is accessible, supportive, and educational for photographers of all skill levels.
- Assist members to develop their bird photography skills.
- Support BirdLife Australia in achieving its goals of bird and habitat conservation.
- Be the “go-to” provider of curated Australian bird images to support conservation, educational and scientific efforts.
- Promote ethical photographic behaviour and standards at all times.
