Based in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, BirdLife Southern Highlands’ members can take part in a range of birdwatching activities, information nights, community events and local conservation projects, whether they are just starting out in birdwatching or experienced ornithologists.
BirdLife Southern Highlands organises monthly outings – both mid-week and on weekends – to a special birdwatching location in one of the nearby forests, wetlands, rivers, heathlands, national parks and nature reserves.
We also host meetings where guest speakers and members bring us up to date on a range of birding matters. Meetings are usually held six times a year. BirdLife Southern Highlands conducts a number of conservation projects and activities, including:
