Southeastern South Australia is a diverse region, covering coastal and inland areas. This richness of habitat is reflected in birdlife, but many beautiful birds in the area are under threat. From the Mallee to the coast, across forests and wetlands, many special species are in short supply.
BirdLife South East SA focuses on celebrating and saving these birds. Our branch of BirdLife Australia was formed in 2010. Membership consists of BirdLife Australia members in south-eastern South Australia, and we have close links on projects and activities with Friends of Shorebirds SE in the same area.
