Please see a project update here:
The Wheatbelt Bird Surveys project has been steadily shaping up throughout the year. The survey methods have been developed, and we’re well into the myriad of tasks required to get such a complex undertaking going. The first bird surveys have commenced. A volunteer committee of seven will expand the project’s scope further through the Wheatbelt in the coming year. Survey sites are marked and available for people wanting to go birding for a purpose at the following Nature Reserves: Rica Ericson, Elphin, Petrudor, Manmanning Dam, Billyacatting, Wundowlin, Totadgin Rock and Baladji Rock.
For anyone interested in going birdwatching in any of these locations and doing some useful Citizen science at the same time get details of the specific fixed sites and all necessary information about how to do a bird survey contact us at this email address.
