After years of campaigning, the Environment Protection Reform Bill 2025 finally passed the Federal Parliament and a new and improved framework for decision making was established. BirdLife Australia welcomes key changes that, alongside our supporters we have long called for. However, gaps in the legislation remain and we will continue to hold decision makers to account, and work together to stop habitat destruction as we put birds and nature on a path to recovery.
