Bush Books, a series of practical field guides, has a new title: Birds of Wadjemup/Rottnest Island. This is a useful comprehensive, conveniently sized book and well priced. Photographs are a major feature of the book. They are clear and provide quick recognition of the bird you are likely to see. The adjacent page with each photo provides the relevant information for that bird.

This is a book for all ages and any level of interest. There is a sighting record at the back of the book to allow for quick recording of observations.

The Noongar bird names may have been better placed with the main heading for each bird.

Overall this is worthwhile acquisition and keepsake of your visit.
