BirdLife Castlemaine District Bird Walk and Plant Sale September 2026

Event One of the 2026 Feathery Festival

Join Birdlife Castlemaine for a guided bird walk along one of the shires most loved trails. After a leisurely stroll enjoying the local bird life, join us for a free morning tea and opportunity to purchase local plants for bird habitat at
a pop-up plant stall.

Plants provided by Newstead Natives.

About the Trail
Campbells Creek Trail is a shared gravel path that follows the creek. The surface is mostly dirt with some fine gravel, so we recommend wearing sturdy shoes with good grip. The path is mostly gentle but includes a few short, steep sections.

What to Bring / Wear
Binoculars are not essential but can enhance the experience. We will provide tips on using them, and a limited number will be available to borrow on the day.

Please bring: weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, binoculars, water and snacks

Toilets are available at the Good Op Shop at the start and end of the walk.

This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Good Op Shop.
