Calling all photographers! The BirdLife Australia Photography Awards are back in 2024 – and entries are now open!
This year, we’re back with another special theme: Land of the Parrots! Photos entered into this category must contain one or more parrot or lorikeet (but not cockatoo!) species, and you can find a full list of eligible species here.
You have until August 5 to enter, but if you enter before July 5 you’ll be eligible for an early bird discount.
Good luck, and happy snapping!
To enter the competition, you’ll need to log in or create a BirdLife Australia account.
For more information and to enter this year’s competition, visit the BirdLife Australia Photography Awards website.
The 2024 BirdLife Australia Photography Awards are proudly sponsored by Nikon Australia and Lake Cowal Foundation.
Thanks to their generous support, the winners of each category will receive $1,000 in prize money – while the very lucky winner of the Portfolio Prize will receive a Nikon Z 8 digital camera valued at $7,449 RRP, courtesy of our Principal Sponsor Nikon Australia.
Remember – the welfare of birds always comes first, and no winning shot should see birds losing out. All entries must adhere to BirdLife Photography’s Code of Ethics.
