Join BirdLife Bayside for an outing led by John Sise for an outing to Wicks Reserve, Wicks Road, The Basin and Liverpool Retarding Basin, Liverpool Road, Boronia.
Bring lunch and a folding chair. After an early lunch, we will drive to Liverpool Retarding Basin. After the walk we will finish with bird call. Enquiries: John on 9551 7741 or Tania on 0433 015 282.
Please wear suitable clothes and shoes for bushwalking, including a hat and sunscreen. Please note that outings are very rarely cancelled, but will be automatically cancelled on days of a Total Fire Ban or severe weather.
Meet in the carpark within Wicks Reserve (Melway 65 H 8), turnoff is on the right about 150m after turning into Wicks Road from Basin-Olinda Road. Toilets available. After an early lunch travel to the Liverpool Retarding Basin. Continue on dirt road out of reserve, turn left onto Basin-Olinda Road and continue through roundabout where it becomes Mountain Highway. At next roundabout turn right onto Liverpool Road and look for carpark entrance on left about 600m from roundabout (Melway 65 G 5).
