Overview

Join BirdLife Mornington Peninsula and outing leader Penny Gillespie (0419-045-634) for a morning of guided bird watching, presentations in the auditorium and information about Mornington Peninsula birds, including an informative talk by Paula Wasiak, Phillip Island Nature Parks

Program

  • 9:00am – Register your attendance at the BirdLife stand and receive your ‘lucky ticket’ for the draw at the end of the event
  • 9:15am – Welcome and ‘Birdwatching for Beginners’ presentation in the auditorium
  • 10:00am – Guided walks program commences, meet outside the Homestead entrance
  • 11:30am – Paula Wasiak, PhD candidate Australian National University, will speak about the bush stone-curlew re-introduction program on Phillip Island
  • 12:30pm – Lucky door prize draw

Free tea and coffee available, or purchase morning tea from Friends of Coolant at the cottage from 10:00-11:30am. They will be selling muffins, hot chocolate, cappuccino, etc

BYO picnic lunch to enjoy in the beautiful Coolart gardens.  BBQ’s are available for use in the picnic grounds.
