Half-day excursion
We will start our walk by taking a left and heading up to the Boardwalk before doubling back and heading up to Glendalough reserve. Herdsman lake is home to many waterbirds and bushbirds as well as multiple resident birds of prey. It occasionally plays host to elusive bitterns. This walk takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours, so bring a chair and morning tea to have while we do a combined bird list.
For BLWA members and their guests. Members of the public are welcome to join the walk (bring binoculars).
Leader: Betty Bryant
Meet at 8:30 am at the carpark on Moondyne drive (turn off from Herdsman Parade at the southern end of the lake, east of the Discovery Centre).
