Join us for a bird photography workshop where you can contribute to bird sightings at EBO and participate in weekly beach counts.
Including daily guided walks through mallee woodlands, dune shrublands, and along the beach, with assistance for beginner bird watchers in viewing and ID. Learn to capture stunning bird photographs with advise on locations, camera use, and technique. Evenings include presentations, showcasing participants’ photos and discussing bird calls, identifying marks, and photo processing.
Attendees should bring their own binoculars and camera equipment, with spare batteries and memory cards, and a laptop for photo processing.

The turnoff from the Eyre Highway to the Observatory is 17km east of Cocklebiddy.
The track to the Observatory is suitable for four-wheel drive only.
A pickup and drop-off service is offered by the Caretakers of Eyre Bird Observatory for guests without a 4X4 and who are staying two or more nights. Booking is essential for overnight stays.
