Vale Alma Mitchell

Vale – Alma Ethel Muriel Mitchell – Honorary Lifetime Member of Birdlife Australia

Alma and her late husband were the mainstays in setting up the Bird Observers Yarra Valley branch in 1992, later changed in name to Birdlife Australia Yarra Valley branch. Alma started her birding ‘career” way back in 1952 and was very active right through to about late 2021. Her many contributions to conservation will be remembered by many.
