Birds & Beans Social Bird Walk – Spring Gully Bushland Reserve, Bendigo Tuesday 7th July 2026 9:00am
Join us for a relaxed morning of birdwatching and conversation at Spring Gully Bushland Reserve. Our “Birds and Beans” outings combine an easy-paced bird walk with the opportunity to enjoy a coffee and social catch-up afterwards.
Spring Gully Bushland Reserve offers a mix of woodland and creekside habitat, making it an excellent location to observe a variety of local bush birds. Species regularly seen in the area can include Kookaburras, Blue-faced Honeyeaters, Grey Currawongs, Grey Butcherbirds, Red Wattlebirds, Superb Fairy-wrens, Magpies, Eastern Rosellas and a variety of honeyeaters and parrots. The nearby creekline and regenerating bushland also provide excellent habitat for smaller woodland birds. With a bit of luck, we may also find the reserve’s resident Tawny Frogmouths quietly roosting amongst the trees.
The outing is suitable for birders of all experience levels, from beginners through to experienced observers.
