BirdLife Mildura is centred on the north-western corner of Victoria, and our members come from Mildura and surrounding districts, as well as the river towns in NSW and beyond, extending from Wagga Wagga in south-western NSW to Charlton in Victoria.
We are fortunate to have a range of habitats to explore, from riverine red gum and black box forests with billabongs, to shallow, saline drainage lakes and vast areas of mallee, including the Murray-Sunset National Park.
Our members get together at monthly meetings, which are held at the Carnegie Centre, 74 Deakin Avenue, Mildura, on the first Tuesday of every month, starting at 7.30pm.
In addition to monthly birdwatching outings (see below), we also conduct regular bird surveys at the Trust for Nature’s Ned’s Corner Station, 80km west of Mildura, three times a year; there are 15 designated sites to be surveyed.
