The Victorian Landscape Conservation Partnership (VLCP) Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of the VLCP - a unique partnership-collaboration between several conservation organisations.
By galvanising philanthropic, impact and government investment the project seeks to deliver biodiversity outcomes on private and public land across Victoria, complimenting the State’s Biodiversity 2037 Plan (Victoria and Department of Environment, 2017).
Focused on an area covering 47,000km in Victoria’s Southwest, the role will project management implementation of the first stage of the 18 year project, with continuation depending on project funding and evaluation.
The role sits within the Systems Change & Innovation Team and is key to supporting BirdLife’s mission.
Please note: this role has a partial field-based component but is largely office based.

The VLCP Manager will use high level management and development skills to drive the development and delivery of a landscape-scale solution for Victoria’s shrinking biodiversity, helping BirdLife Australia deliver its Strategy.
With strong project management, organisational, relationship and communication skills you will deliver program activities and engagement to a broad range of stakeholders from project partners, landholders, community groups and volunteers, to government departments, philanthropic teams, carbon credit providers, as well as responding to funding opportunities.

What you will bring to the team:
The successful applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation Biology or similar and/or extensive relatable experience alongside demonstrated organisational and relationship management skills.
Project management experience is essential, as is meeting budget and milestone targets. You will have excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills which will enable you to work collaboratively with all our stakeholders.

This is a full-time role (1FTE) offered on a two-year max term contract which comes with an attractive salary package of $90,196 per annum plus 11% super.
